Consecration

Consecrated at Industry Masonic Hall, Jackson Street, Gateshead, by Lord Ravensworth.

14 May 1924

First Regular Meeting

First regular meeting held in the Lecture Hall, Ravensworth Road, Dunston.

8 Jan 1930

Hall Stone Jewel Announced

The Hall Stone Jewel announcement marks a distinguished chapter in our history.

5 Mar 1930

Presented at Grand Lodge

Hall Stone Jewel presented at Grand Lodge, recognising our Hall Stone Lodgeship.

16 Jul 1932

Foundation Stone Laid

Foundation Stone of the current Temple laid by Lord Ravensworth.

First Meeting in the Temple

The Lodge Name

Eslington

Named after Eslington Hall near Whittingham, Northumberland, the country seat of Lord Ravensworth. Eslington is associated with the mother lodge of our early brethren: Liddell Lodge No. 3616.

Our Founders

In the spirit of 1924

The lodge began with 25 founders, all members of Liddell Lodge No. 3616. The first Worshipful Master was Wor. Bro. Lt. Col. James Woodbury Thompson.
