Winlaton St Paul's Lodge was consecrated in October 1980 in Dunston, Gateshead. Originally formed as a dining lodge with a remit of charitable donation, today it retains many of its early traditions whilst incorporating a modern viewpoint to enhance the quality of members' enjoyment of Freemasonry.
A local lodge but with a cross-section of members from a wide area, we are a very welcoming Lodge who enjoy our Freemasonry to the full whilst maintaining high standards in our meetings and Masonic practices.
What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest non-religious, non-political fraternal and charitable organisations. It teaches moral lessons and self-knowledge through a system of rituals, and encourages members to support their community.
