No. Freemasonry is a private organisation with some traditional elements and ceremonies, but it is not a “secret society”.
There are membership fees and dining costs. We’ll explain typical costs clearly before you make any commitment.
Meetings are structured and respectful—administrative business first, then ceremony—followed by dining together.
Members are expected to have a belief in a Supreme Being, but Freemasonry is not a religion and does not replace your own faith.
